ABOUT HELEN

Helen is a qualified Systemic Therapist with over 23 years of experience working across child, adolescent and adult mental health settings in both the NHS (UK) and NSW Health.

Trained through a 4-year Clinical Masters program at the Institute of Family Therapy/Birkbeck University of London, Helen specialises in relationship-focused therapy for individuals, couples and families.

Systemic Therapy is an evidence-based approach that focuses on relationships, not on labelling one person as “the problem.” Instead, it supports families and couples to understand patterns of interaction and make meaningful, sustainable changes together.

WHAT HELEN WORKS WITH

Helen has a trauma-informed background and extensive experience supporting complex and longstanding difficulties. She works with:

• Individuals
• Couples
• Families (including teenagers with parents/carers)

Helen works with teenagers alongside their parents/carers, but she does not see children individually.
